What to Bring to Our Program

Here is our list of what to bring and NOT to bring. Please follow list accordingly 

FOR NEW HOUSE RESIDENTS 

WHAT TO BRING

Clothing:

  • 5 pairs of work clothes

  • 5 pairs of casual wear

  • 2 sets of pajamas

  • 7 each of socks, bras, & underwear

  • Up to 2 jackets

  • 4 pair of shoes (flip flops, work boots, slip resistant/non-skid, etc.) 

 

Toiletry & Personal Hygiene Items: 

  • Toothpaste/toothbrush

  • Shampoo

  • Soap

  • Razors/trimmers & shaving cream

  • Deodorant 

  • Comb/hairbrush

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Linens are provided, but if you choose to bring your own

    • 2 towels, wash clothes, & throw blanket

  • Clothes hangers

  • Current prescribed medications (NON- NARCOTIC) 

    • All medication prescribed or over the counter MUST be approved by staff

  • Cell phone and charger

  • Reading glasses

  • State I.D. (birth certificate & social security card if you need to get an I.D.) and SS Card for work purposes

 

DO NOT BRING

  • Alcohol, drugs, or drug paraphernalia

  • Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)

  • Pornographic material/sex toys

  • Mouthwash containing alcohol

  • Any pre-workout/weight loss supplements/creatine or protein powder

  • Any clothing with offensive messages and/or drug/alcohol promotion

  • Personal computers/tablets/gaming systems/TVs, etc.

  • Candles

  • Televisions

  • Coffee Makers

  • Refrigerators

  • Microwaves

  • Other personal appliances

  • Suitcases and/or plastic clothing containers (we cannot store for residents)

 

If a new resident does not have resources to provide some of the above items, Our EmberRise Team will assist the resident.

**Should a resident need a laptop or tablet for work or education purposes, the possession of such a device will be reviewed on a case by case basis.**
